Charles Sturt University Enterprise Agreement 2018

When the duration of a current agreement approaches its end date, a negotiation process between Charles Sturt Campus Services (CSCS) and staff, represented by relevant unions, will take place to form a new agreement. The unions representing CSCS employees are United Voice. This process of negotiating a new agreement is called Enterprise Bargaining. I am pleased to inform you that the CSCS agreement was approved by the Fair Trade Committee on Thursday 6 June 2019. I am pleased to inform you that we have recently concluded the negotiations on Enterprises, after management has reached an agreement with the employee representatives. This agreement pays tribute to the valuable contribution of our staff in improving salaries and conditions of employment. This is a positive achievement and I would like to thank and congratulate everyone involved. A company agreement is the formal agreement on remuneration and conditions set jointly by the university and its employees. This agreement is made through allocations and agreements that would otherwise apply. Once an agreement in principle has been reached, staff will have the opportunity to vote on the agreement. If the staff votes in favour, the agreement is submitted to the Fair Work Commission (FWC).

The FWC evaluates and approves company agreements. The agreement will be known as the Charles Sturt Campus Services Enterprise Agreement 2019 and will replace the current Charles Sturt Campus Services Enterprise Agreement 2013. .
